This course is designed to equip educators in Uganda with practical skills, knowledge, and strategies to effectively integrate digital technologies into their teaching practices. 

Participants will explore key themes including digital literacy, online content creation, e-learning platforms, inclusive digital education, and technology-supported assessment methods. 

Through interactive modules, hands-on activities, and peer collaboration, educators will build confidence and competence in designing and delivering impactful lessons using ICT—preparing them to lead 21st-century classrooms and bridge educational disparities across Uganda.

Target Audience:
Pre-service and in-service teachers, teacher educators, and instructional leaders across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels.

Delivery Mode:
Blended – combining self-paced online content, virtual workshops, and optional in-person activities.

Course Duration:
6–8 weeks (flexible pacing)

The Digital Pedagogy course is a dynamic exploration of innovative teaching methodologies in the digital age. This comprehensive program delves into the integration of technology and pedagogy, empowering instructors to leverage digital tools for enhanced student engagement and learning outcomes. Participants will gain proficiency in designing and delivering interactive,  harnessing the potential of online platforms and collaborative technologies. Through a combination of theoretical foundations and practical applications, this course equips instructors with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt and thrive in today's rapidly evolving educational landscape, fostering a student-centered and digitally enriched learning environment.

This course is intended to empower instructors about e-learning and how to develop digital content that they can use within their online classes. Several topics are covered including: Teaching and Learning with Technology, Evaluating E-Learning and Course Development, Effective E-Learning Content Design using the Learning Object Concept, Content Development - Production Issues, Rapid E-content Development using eXe, Rapid E-content Development using multimedia, Online Learning Activities and Introduction to Digital Assessment
