This course explores the interplay between diplomacy and security in global affairs, analyzing how states and non-state actors pursue strategic interests in a complex international system. It combines theoretical frameworks with case studies, simulations, and policy analysis to equip students with practical and analytical skills in global security strategy.

Course Objectives 

By the end of the course, students will be able to: 

  •  Critically analyze diplomatic and security strategies in different geopolitical contexts. 
  •  Evaluate traditional and non-traditional security challenges (e.g., cyber, health, environment). 
  •  Assess the roles of global institutions, alliances, and strategic actors. 
  •  Design strategic responses to evolving international security issues.

OVERALL AIM

To enable the learner understand procedures involved in planning and executing audit assignments as well as developing insights into professional values, ethics and attitudes.

LEVEL OF ASSESSMENT

The examination will be focused mainly on knowledge, application and analysis of the principles acquired in auditing and professional ethics and values.

EXAMINATIONS STRUCTURE

There will be a three hour examination made up sections A B and C. Section A will comprise of one compulsory question of 30 marks. Section B will comprise of four questions of 20 marks each of which the candidate will be required to attempt any three. Section C will comprise of two questions of 10 marks each, of which the candidate will be required to attempt one.
